I listened to the audiobook
Would I recommend the method I chose?
Yes! These two narrators were new to me, but I loved both of their voices. Their opposite gender readings weren’t as convincing as other narrators but it didn’t destroy the story for me.

About The Author
This author is new to me, but here is a link to her website if you want to learn more:
Is the Book a Stand Alone or Part of a Series?
Book 2 in the Ivy Ridge series
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Lots of steamy love scenes in this one. They were very well written and grew along with the characters relationship.
Emotions: (Did I laugh out loud or cry)
I felt the anxiety of Marley every time she and Beau would get closer, but simultaneously I was screaming inside to just be with the man already!
Happily Ever After?
There’s only one acceptable ending when you fall in love with your best friend and have his babies…an engagement. This story delivered!
As a READER I…
Loved loved loved the narrators. I want to hear more from them.
Love a beautiful “friends-to-lovers” story! AND there was no 3rd act breakup. Chef’s kiss!
Wish the narration was done in duet. I really like that style better than the male narrator trying his feminine voice or vice versa for the female narrator.
Wish I would have read book one first. There’s not too many spoilers, but I’m just annoyed with myself for not catching that before I started (looking forward to backtracking though).
As a FELLOW WRITER I…
Hope to build tension in and leading up to the romantic scenes the way she does. Also, the way the romantic scenes build as their relationship grows was really beautiful.
Want to try writing a story with no third act breakup. I was concerned that it might limit the emotions of the story, but I didn’t feel that at all in this book.
Final Thoughts
I will 100% read this book again. Friends to lovers is my absolute favorite trope and this story was so beautifully executed. I related to the FMC so deeply…her anxiety and depression and how she thought it made her a poor choice in life partner for the MMC. I also loved Beau! He went into things unafraid and ready to get his girl this time. This one had me feeling all the feels! Look forward to more from this author!
